Do you have a website or business that you are interested in promoting or taking to a new level? I have dabbled around with many ways of getting exposure to my websites including blog commenting, creating back links and posting in internet forums. These are all well and good but can only take your business or onsite web presence to a certain level. At some point you have to take things and step further and take different routes to get your name or brand out there.
Depending on your website or brand making it could pay off to take your name or logo to the public and one great way to do this is by having shirts printed off. It’s a great way to get people to recognize your name or brand. Just think how many times you see a corporate symbol and you know exactly what it stands for. Wouldn’t that be great if you people saw your logo and knew what it stands for.
You have to be careful when taking on this task. You can print tshirts cheap but that may not equate to quality. Shop around for the best price and quality shirt you can find. If you cheap out you may pay for it down the road. Finding the right supplier is crucial.
There are many online websites that will work with you on putting your logo onto a tshirt and help you get it shipped in a timely manner. I would personally contact a website through phone or chat and tell them what I am after and build up a healthy relationship with them. Especially so if I was doing a large bulk order. You might even be able to negotiate a better price and save yourself even more money. Every penny counts when you are reinvesting your profits back into advertising.
If you are going to registering any domains this month the namecheap coupons have changed. From what I am reading you can still use OCTNEWS and INDIANSUMMER. Any of the others are no longer valid. Those code will help you save a little bit of money on any new domains you are buying from Namecheap.
Okay so it's not earth shattering but the cost of domain names is set to go up at the end of the month. Today I received a newsletter from Name Cheap informing me that they are raising their costs by .40 cents a year for their domain names. Not a whole lot on my side, I only own a few but could be a bigger deal for those that own hundreds upon hundreds.
The bonus though is that they will remain at the same price until September 30th if you want to renew them early. I will probably renew a few for a year or more to save a little bit. A little here and there, right?
I haven't posted any blogging tips for awhile so I thought I would share a quick obvious one that is sometimes overlooked. At least I did. Akismet is a spam stopping plugin that comes with the standard version of WordPress. I have tried a pile of spam stopping plugins for my blogs and nothing has worked as well as this handy little plugin. Just activate it and go to wordpress. sign up and get your activation key and you are on your way to stopping blog spam comments.
The bonus is that it flags your comments based on their database of spam and then you have the option to delete it as spam or to approve it. Nothing seems to get by it like some of the others I have tried. Right now on this blog: "Akismet has caught 114 spam for you since you first installed it. You have no spam currently in the queue. Must be your lucky day." You also get ip's that you can ban through your htaccess which is nice.
If you are blogging do youself a huge favour and activate this plugin.
