The first thing I do before buying anything of course is look for a coupon. Every retailer has a coupon offer or a deal. So why not take them up on their offers and use them? Why pay full price when nobody else is? Save your money and get in the habit of using coupons. Just the other day I came across a website that is a giant list of update coupons for all sorts of stores and shops online. The first one I came across was for victoria’s secret coupons. What I like about this coupon page is that you can click on the actual code itself and paste it on the checkout page after you shop. It makes saving easy. If you have a store in mind that you plan on buying something from your first start should be seeing if there is a coupon online waiting you to save.
Who in their right mind would pay full price for anything in this day in age? Nobody should be that is for sure. It’s because we live in a time of such fierce competition for our spending dollars that everybody and their brother that owns a business is fighting for you to become a loyal and return shopper.
How does that translate to you or me the consumer? Coupons. It is as simple as that. Every single company that has a website presence offers shopping coupons for their online stores or their physical walk up stores. For example, before I buy anything online I search Google for coupons or codes that are going to save me money. You can also find websites like Savings.com coupons where you can search for companies and see if they have any current coupons or discount codes. Remember in the old day and age when you had to flip through the paper looking for coupons. Not anymore. You can find them in about two seconds online and start saving right away. As I said, there is no way you should be paying full price for anything that you buy from any retailer.
We just went through two big shopping days and that leaves a huge gap between now and Christmas. Over three weeks to be exact. That means that retailers are going to be going out of their way to offer Christmas savings. Happy searching.
I recently happened upon a website that offered a unique twist for online shoppers. They offer a number of savings through online coupons just for shopping at their website and using their service. You basically shop through their website, use their new process called eBillMe and you could qualify for big savings. Using this service you can choose to get emailed a bill and then pay through your online bank or at the walk in store that you shopped at (if it exists). Not only do you get savings but you also get the piece of mind of shopping in a more safer environment.
Last week we went out for an early game of golf. It's not our normal course but one that opens early every year and they have indoor golf on all winter that we take in a few times. They kind of know who we are in the proshop. We struck up a conversation with one of the guys working in the proshop and he gave us a bunch of gift card type coupons for our next round of golf there. We will use it in the fall because they stay open later than everyone too and we will save some money on our greens fees.
He gave us the cards because he wants us to frequent his place more often. This got me to thinking. If you go to a similiar type of place like an indoor golf range, mini putt or golf course why not ask if find yourself in a converstaion with an employee. Tell them you would like to bring some friends out and wondered if they have any coupons or cards. You be suprised how many places have them.
I have blogged alot about how coupons can save you money. They are no brainers. Retailers are desperate to get you to buy their products and will do anything to get your spending dollar. People I know still don't seem to get that coupons are free money. Let's say you are shopping for something like groceries, medications like Lipovox or electronics and I told you that you could save $10. You would do it right? Then start clipping coupons.
You have to search for coupons in the right places. Your daily paid and free newspapers will load one or two editions a week with ads. Start to leaf through them, clip the coupons that interest you and do some comparitive shopping to make sure you are getting the best deals. The free papers as well will always have lots of ads on their pages for local retailers. Watch for door crashers or special sales events for even more savings.
Search online for coupons that either you can use online or print off and take to the store with you. This works best for big chain stores like Best Buy or Future Shop. Searching online is always good too because sometimes they will have "Web Only" coupons combined with free shipping. These make it cheaper than driving to the store to get it.
Up until recently I never knew just how the power of using coupons could save you money online. They are a no brainer and practically every website offers them every month. You can save good money on items if you are shopping online. There are many kinds of coupons that you will find. Some offer a percentage off while others offer a straight dollar amount off if you spend so much. Either way it’s a nice way to save money.
I like to find sites where you can find a Coupon code daily update. And what that means is that they check all of the major websites and update their coupons codes everyday so that you have the newest and latest codes to use. There is nothing worse than going to a site, getting a coupon code and then finding out it doesn’t work. This site also keeps their codes fresh and updated so you will have no problem with expired codes.
They also have everything categorized so you can easily find what you are looking for. I personally hate having to sort through hundreds of codes just to find what I am looking for. If I want something for my computer I want to look at computer codes only. They do that and it’s great.
Coupon codes are a nice way to save online. If you do any online shopping at all do your bank account a favor and look for coupon codes.

So today I was reading through some freebie sites and came across a forum discussing SwagBucks. It's a site where they offer random points for using their search engine and you can redeem the points for prizes or draw tickets for prizes. Just install their toolbar in your IE of FireFox, user their search engine for your surfing needs and you can gain dollars. The search results are returned by Google and Ask. I just joined today and I already have enough for a $5 Amazon gift card.
So nobody gives anything away for free. I believe that for sure. So what's the catch? There is no catch. They are using a couple of pay per search engines where they are being paid for you searching terms and in turn they are paying it back by giving you random points for goods. If you are going to use a search engine you are probably going to use one of them anyways so why not give it a shot.
Let me know how it is working out. They also post bonus codes that you can redeem for points but I haven't caught on yet. Please let me know if you come across any.
Join up for SwagBucks and start earning points.
This is a part of the blog that I haven't done well with updating so from here on in I am going to try to post a few links to freebies and great coupon offers at least once a week or sometimes more if I find them. If you come across any please let me know.
Free Coupon for a 20 Ounce Bottle or a Free 2 Litre Bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper
Pretty easy to enjoy a nice free bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper. I have had it before and it doesn't taste too bad at all.
Free Quaker True Delights Bar
I saw this one in People magazine last month or this month. A good way to sample some free bars. We go through lots of them in our house.
Free sample of Benefiber Powder from Walmart
Grab some free powder fiber powder from Walmart. That is if you can stand being in a store jam packed with hundreds of bargain hunting shoppers that are more heartless then the starting line up of the 1976 Philadelphia Flyers.
Remember freebie hunters, if you are asked to enter an email address use a free one like gmail as I imagine you are going to get plenty of ads and offers sent your way. I alway have things sent to work so I don't have to use my real address.
Just yesterday my other half was out picking up some groceries and then off to the pharmacy to pick up some creame for acne and to get me some razor blades. She called from the store to see what kind of blades I wanted. After she gave me the prices of some of the items it was actually cheaper for her to get me a new razor/blades combo pack then to buy a razor replacement kit. Crazy. So I started to check some sites tonight and they even have some nice sturdy looking throw aways for men, depending how they last they could be even better. Even better, I found some company sites that will send you some free samples of their products.
The point I am making is that companies will often put specials or promos out there to entice you to use their product from there on in. It's hair on my face, I could care how I get it off as long as it comes off and the cheaper the better. If you are reading this saving money blog and see some deals on things we use everyday let me know.
If you don’t know what an HDMI switch then you are missing out. It’s a gadget that routes high definition video and digital audio from any one of the three sources to display unit. In basic terms this switch will allow you to connect up to four HDMI sources to a single display such as your HDTV. Inputs will allow you to connect up to three of your high definition video sources, such as a satellite, Blu-Ray Disc, and video game consoles to your HDTV. The benefit is you can simply switch between each source without having to move cables on your television. It is great for those of us who enjoy gaming and watching HD movies. There are plenty of great deals available online for a HDMI switch.
